Faifley Community Rewilding Group
27th November 2018 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
The Conservation volunteers in Clydebank are looking for volunteers to take part in practical work at the Faifley Knowes!
We are running the Community Rewilding Project in Clydebank which aims to build habitats, reclaim unused spaces and to increase the diversity of plants, animals and insects in our community. We also work to make the local parks and green spaces more accessible for everyone.
This work involves;
- Creating Wildflower Meadows
- Planting trees and native species of flowers
- Managing areas of woodland
- Clearing overgrown paths
- Building habitats and feeders for wildlife
Volunteering with us is a great way to: learn skills, make friends and get active.
Absolutely no prior knowledge, work experience or skills are necessary, we will give training on the days.
All sessions are run by an experienced leader. Wear comfortable sturdy shoes and clothes that are appropriate for the weather and that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. All tools, equipment and gloves are provided as well as refreshments for a tea break.
Our sessions run on Tuesdays 10.30am to 1pm. We meet in the car park at the football changing rooms at Langside in Faifley.
